Join the descendants of Malcolm F. and Isabella MacCrimmon to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the MacCrimmon family farm established in 1825. Start your day with a guided tour of the Glengarry Pioneer Museum and then join us at the farm for day of celebrating and honouring our roots and ancestors who came before us.

Description

Malcolm and Isabella immigrated to Canada from Inverness, Scotland in December 1824 and were deeded Lot 8, Concession 9, Keyon Township in North Glengarry in 1825. 

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the MacCrimmon farm now in its sixth generation. 

Make a day of it by visiting the Glengarry Pioneer Museum (Dunvegan, ON) where historical information and memorabilia of the Glengarry farming community is displayed. Visit the historic Kenyon Presbyterian Church where many of our ancestors lie in rest in Dunvegan, Check out social media and website links on our Contact page.

Join us on Saturday July 5, 2025 to mark this momentous occasion for an afternoon to celebrate and reminisce.  On-site parking with a tent shelter will be set-up. 

Food and beverages will be served so it is important for attendees to register. 

Please note that we will not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions so please plan in advance should you have specific requirements.

Program:

  • Morning or Afternoon (Optional) - Visit local cemeteries where MacCrimmon family member graves will be marked.
  • 10:30 to 11:30 am (Optional) - Glengarry Pioneer Museum guided tour and scavenger hunt (see event page).
  • 12 to 12:30 pm - Registration and souvenir pre-order pick-up.
  • 12:30 pm - Welcoming speeches.
  • 1 pm - Lunch served.
  • 2 pm - Photos.
  • 2 to 4 pm - Mix and mingle.
